Remote control of tv and your camera..

Just read on a Dutch Pentax forum. It is possible to use your infrared tv-remote control to activate your camera. I tried it with K20D and a Philips SBC RU 538E control and it worked. At least pushing the menu- or ok-button triggered the shutter. Yes, you should choose infrared control in the Fn-menu!
I don't know if this subject is obsolete or not - not going to read all of the subjects here to verify- so I give it for what it is worth!

pichygrue,
Thanks for the tip. I will have to try it. It would be quite useful.

Yes! It works
But I still ordered the Pentax remote from pixmania. It's smaller, cheap and cool
Nevertheless... In case of emergency ....
