I haven't been totally satisfied with the photos using my K5iis and my F50 1.7 lens. I think my auto focus is off .I took some photos using a simple focus chart and it seems to front focus using auto focus. If I manually focus the picture is fine and if I auto focus in live view the picture is fine. I assume I may need to re calibrate.

This is a simple version but I think it gives you the idea. Both sides of the chart show the same thing.
First the auto focus. Then the live view auto focus and last the manual focus.

Yes, your K5IIs seems to be front focusing with this lens. Dial in some negative amount focus compensation and repeat your test. It takes a while to find the sweet spot.

This one must have been pretty bad because I had to go all the way to -10 to get it in focus. My da40 xs was also out of whack and I had to go to -7 to get it right
