I am going to upgrade to a different lens for my K100D


Right now, I have the 18-55mm kit lens and a 70-200mm. I want an "all in one" lens.

I am want to carry one travel lens. Something that is wide and can also zoom in.


Can you suggest a quality lens? I am trying to gather more info to help me make an informed decision.

if you want an "all in one" lens that get the 18-250mm, i dont have one but from images posted here both the pentax and tamron takes very good images

I think you also get a 6-year warranty for tamron

Check this reviews from CameraLabs.com, they are very happy with Pentax DA 18-250:
"DA 18-250mm ... despite its super-zoom range, actually performs very well across the frame at the test focal length" (K20D Review, Pentax K20D review Cameralabs outdoor results)
"... you can't sharpen a lens which is soft in the corners, and in this respect the Pentax DA 18-250mm certainly has an advantage over the other two lens and body combinations tested here ..." The bad thing about this lens - creepy zoom...
