Getting a hot new body

My new (to me) K5iis is in the mail. It's an early birthday present from my hubby. Tracking says ETA Monday. I never thought I would want the weekend to end so quickly!

Congrats, those K-5s are still the best in some ways. I keep telling myself i should sell mine, but, it's such a good camera.

There have been a lot of k3s and k5iis for about the same price. It was hard choosing. I just decided when today came (the day to order), I would choose best bang for the buck. I knew I would be happy either way.

I'm a K30 user and the aperture servo has been funky several times - a short burt has fixed it and then it was OK for several hundred shots but It may fail before the shutter

If only K-S2 had wireless flash commander I would have had it...May the Acon 930 radio wireless P-TTL passtrough a remedy?

Or K5 MK2? - No focus peaking :/ but yeah catch in focus is faster and one can shoot some action in MF wide open

Wait for K1 ?

The trigger seems like a good remedy, and you wouldn't have to buy another body.
If you are otherwise ready to upgrade, and focus peaking is important, K3 has it, if I'm not mistaken.
And then there is the K-1.

I think the wireless trigger is more important for me than peaking. Is k5 mk2 faster (in body af motor) thank k30/50 ? How about live view af? I found k30 with a Sigma HSM very fast in lv way faster than Nikon D 7100 with 16-85. But tracking in pdaf is another story XD

To me, trigger would also be more important. Or that could just be because I don't know what I'm missing with focus peaking. Lol I haven't learned off camera flash yet, but it is my next pursuit. I tried to use wireless flash with my k-X, but couldn't make it work (yes, I read the instructions). I can't speak for the live view or autofocus compared to k30/50. I've read autofocus was faster. I know it's faster than my current body.

In Norway we call the camera body a house, so if you had used norwegian terminology, people would just have thought that someone's got a new house with better heating.

Norwegian is boring.
