that's got nothing to do with the evf, it happens because light is leaking in, especially with people who use cameras with glasses.

I'll take your word for it: all I know is I don't get the same problem with an OVF.

pentax makes a much better eyecup than what's on some of these mirrorless cameras.

the sony factory eyecup on my a7r, for instance, is junk, it's really small hard rubber, and it leaked light, i had to stretch a nikon dk-19 over it to fix the problem.

This is exactly what I was talking about. Someone watching this will want to be part of something big to them. Look at nascar fans. They buy the products that sponsor their favorite drivers. No different here...
