Some da lenses do. Not most of the zooms however. The da 35 f2.4 is one of the ones that works well.

The wide angle options for the k-1 are all pretty expensive unless manual focus is an option which I suppose it might be given the high depth of field inherent in most landscape shots.

The only two low cost AF wide angle options that come to my mind are the Sigma 12-24 and the FA-J 18-35. I'm sure there are others out there.

The OP doesn't have any full frame landscape lenses and wants to do landscape... and said if he buys the K-1, he won't have a budget for lenses... so how do you solve that problem
There have been reports indicating that some APS-C lenses can do the job:

My K-1 arrived today. I am lucky to be close to NYC (shipped yesterday) and I am very impressed with all it can do, and I have barely scratched the surface. I even tried my Sigma 10-20 on it and to my surprise, setting the K1 to FF mode (not the ASC-P mode it did automatically) I could get a good image down to 15mm without any noticeable vignetting on the Live screen. I need to check this in great detail though. After 15mm, it did vignette all the way down to a 10mm doughnut hole, but I kind of expected something like that. No issues when having it set in the ASC-P crop mode though. There s a LOT to get used to, though it is amazing how much the designers pulled from other K digital cameras so the transition is not over crazy. Much to learn!
Note: at 15mm, the Sigma 10-20mm lens gives the same view on the K-1 that it was providing at 10mm on an APS-C camera.

Well Uncle, exactly how many DA zooms have you tried on the K1?

They work (as the Tamron will also work) only in crop mode, where you end up with a 15MP picture. Which is still nice, but if you are seriously wanting to do landscape work with the K-1, it's probably not what you want. Also, some DA lenses will work on full frame. The DA 16-45mm, for example, is said to be a 22-45mm full frame lens (but I don't know how sharp the corners will be on the K-1). Only the 16-21mm part of the 16-45 doesn't cover the full frame circle. Also, a lot of DA primes will cover the full frame, like the 35 2.4, the two 40mm primes, the 50, the 55 and the 70. And so on.

ONLY in crop mode?

My copy of the 16-45mm works for the full focal length!Perhaps you have a bad copy?

Zero. All of this is entirely based on user reports. I don't know if I said it here but for the da 55-300 I have indicated that reports seem mixed - some reporting no problems and others reporting lots of vignetting. Most other da zoom reports have been reporting vignetting - da 50-135, Da 18-135 being two that I have paid closer attention to. Your results appear atypical but promising.

I have the 16-45 and I have FF Pentax cameras (film). And based on what I see in my viewfinder, I know you must be confused.

Yes, thought so,but that's good because i'll give you an accurate report on the common DA zooms that plenty of people own or have discarded.Starting with the widest.

The DA 16-45mm(that I own) is usable right through the focal length, indoors, outdoors and probably on the moon( but I cant confirm that!)

The DAL wr 18-55 vignettes from 18-24mm, after that its fine.

The DAL 50-200 wr usable right though the range.

The DA 55-300 same as 50/200

The DA 18-135 vignettes all the way, which is a shame.

AS you know the 40mm ltd and 50mm plastic fantastic work well too

So lots of asp/c shooters would have these or some of these, they work and with the bigger sensor I LIKE what I'm seeing.

Also, the vivitar/tamron AF 1.4x TC, works right thru the range on the 55-300mm( extends AF to 420)

Other AF lenses ive tested and found good are the F35-70(2nd favourite on K-01) and the FA 80-320 AF hunter, terrible past 200mm on K-01, hunts at longest end on K50, but is usable on the K1(without the TC).Amazing what a bigger sensor can do for a lens.

Well, I thnk you should get your eyes tested OR test it on a K1, because that's what ive tested mine on.

Yes,I would if I could.I tried to put one up and it doesn't happen.I must be doing something wrong I suppose. The only way I've got an image on here is by putting my card in my phone or puta
and uploading to Facebook.
I'm taking some images with the 40ltd this afternoon with K1/50 and K-01.I want to see the difference as the light goes between the 3.

I'm decided to first buy the da50/1.8 and keep my k-3.
I will reasses the move to the k-1 later.

What full-frame compatible landscape lense would you advise me, that would be better than the tamron 17-50 and maybe wider ?
I've been suggested the samyang in this thread, which i know is a good lense but we can't mount filter on it.

The Irix 15mm f/2,4 does have both a 95mm front filter thread and a rear filter slot. A little expensive but it certainly promises a lot. Besides that, Pentax have a line in the lens roadmap that reads "large aperture ultra wide-angle - single focus lens" (the latter must be a translation error for single focal length). And oh, of course the very expensive and very good Pentax D-FA 15-30mm f/2,8

I don't know why you are spreading misinformation but this is the 16-45mm on a full frame at 16mm: https://flic.kr/p/c9QkBs

Not anywhere near useful.

So either post proof that my eyes are bad, or apologize for the unnecessarily snarky and rude remark.

My, probably 'broken', copy of the DA16-45 on 35mm film vignettes from 16 to 18 (or so) mm at f4, and from 16 to 22 (or so) mm stopped down. It is fine at the longer focal lengths.

I don't have batteries for my {full frame} Super Program, so I cannot control the aperture, but when I mount my Sigma 10-20mm lens on it, vignetting shows up in the viewfinder around 14mm, so I am confident that lens could give me effectively as much width on a full frame camera as it does on my K-30.

Don't forget that viewfinder coverage on those film cameras is not 100%, so allow another 1mm before it really clears up the extreme corners. So 15mm is probably more realistic, which agrees with reports I've seen about the 10-20, if I recall correctly.

You probably have the best copy of the 16-45 that I have seen... sharp to the extreme corners at 16mm f4.
