Pentax K10D: Too many bugs and outdated, although it is damn cheap right now;
Canon 400D: Wait for the 1000D instead, which is cheaper and with liveview;
Canon 450D: Can be considered, but it overexposes more frequently than I like (See:
RiceHigh's Pentax Blog: K20D Exposure Inaccuracy and Inconsistency). It was also reported that its AF is not accurate for slow lenses.
Nikon D40/D60: Awfully slow AF with the kit lens. It does not support non-ultrasonic Nikon lenses too. Like Pentax, do note that most ultrasonic Nikon lenses are expensive.
D80: Old model but can be considered IMO. The shutter release is not that crisp, though. The D200/300's feel is far better;
Sony A200/A300/A350: Good choice, I think, especially the price is not high and you get good latest and usable features;
Panasonic DMC-L1/ L10
Olympus E401/E402/E501: Also, the 510/520. Don't buy 4/3 system unless you want the smallest and lightest possible DSLR owing to its small sensor format. Its sensor is only of 1/4 of the area of a Full Frame sensor. The image quality and performance differences are obvious. The small and dim finder is a nightmare. My bet is that the 4-3, as a system, is of no future, whilst as a P&S DSLR may still have its market.
Fujipix ProS5: Too expensive but good skin tones and jpegs. You in fact will enter the Nikon system too.
> AND what do you think I picked ?
Why not consider the K200 and K20, anyway?
