No the faster cards will probably not noticeably help. I love mine but in current terms it is slow.

This was my first DSLR, now have a K10D, but it remains in use.

Yes it is a little slow to review the shots, yes it gets bogged down after 5 frames RAW, but it remains an excellent camera.

I use Extream III 4gig card and CRV lithium batteries with rechargeable NIMH AAs as backup.

It is now my travel SLR for holidays with a 28 - 300 Sigma super zoom on it.

Buy and enjoy.
