K-5IIs vs. K-3II

I see the k-3 is $650. Is it worth the upgrade ? I can't get a full frame until in the $600-800 range. Also I want them to add back the pop up flash. GPS does me no good at all.

I'd say it's worth it. Lots of new features and improvements in the K-3 - be sure to check the review!

I have the K-3II and the K-5IIS. They are both outstanding cameras. The K-3II is the newer model, the AF seems more advanced, it has GPS, Pixel Shift Resolution for stills, and the detail in distance shots is excellent due to the 24 mp sensor. The K-5IIS is not going to disappoint anyone in performance, but the K-3II takes the user to a newer, even more advanced level.

K-3 or K-3II ? If you are upgrading, I'd go for the K-3II for the KAF4 support, GPS, Astrotracer, and the supposed extra stop of SR.

I have the K-5IIs. I should have made that more clear. I was considering upgrading for used K-3II.

Is the K-3 "that" much better?( raises eyebrows and tone when saying that ).

Does the K-3 have a pop up flash ?

I love the K3ll. I have a K-1 Full Frame, but I have to say I just love the way the K3ll works and feels in my hand. To me, the K3ll is my everything camera for what I do. The K-1 mostly for studio work. I really haven't used the GPS, Astor-tracer but it's nice to have. I don't miss the pop up flash at all because I have flashes which work great on it. (I use the Cactus wireless system which sits in the hotshoe)

Please.. make sure to differentiate when mentioning K-3 and K-3 II.

The K-3 has a popup flash but no gps/astrotracer.
The K-3 II does not have a popup flash but does have gps/astrotracer.

The DR is a little weaker on the K-3 series than on the K-5 series. Beyond that I think it is improved in all other aspects.

I mean to say the K-3II is what I am considering. I was abbreviating. I want the k-3II for improved focusing and improved pixels after cropping and better iso range.

I have the Pentax 200, 360 and a neewer

650 with a flucard don't know don't care.

Mostly for better focus. Let my daughter use the k-5iis

The Amazon listing is kind of strange. When I went to Amazon, and then searched for the K-3ii, the lead offer was for $847 new, with the $730 price down at the bottom amongst "other" offers. I also am intrigued by the fact that they are currently offering it for $10 less than their price for the K-3.

You picked the right camera. The AF performance and 24 mp for possible crop are great.

The $729 offer is Amazon itself (seller) for "new".

The $739 for the K-3 is Adorama (seller) on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00FKLQ0LW/ref=sr_1_2_olp?ie=UTF8&qi...&condition=new

The K-3II is $849.95 at Adorama.
