I surely do wish I could've afforded a 15 back in my Spotty days.
I was saying to get now, on aps-c, an equivalent fov as those lenses gave you on your spotmatic.
You are saying if you put those same lenses on aps-c, what would that fov be on FF

28/1.5=18.67

Got to say, lots of you have nice kits. I'm a little envious

I usually carry Samyang 14mm, DA 35mm f2.4, and DFA 100mm.
Basically, this kit is very affordable and still decent quality. I'd like to replace the DA 35mm, but have a hard time finding something significantly better at a reasonable price. Sometimes I switch it for M 28mm or DA 40mm XS or M 50mm f1.7, just to mix things up a little. Similarly the Irix 15mm and Venus 12mm are very tempting, but have not quite convinced me yet to give up on the Samyang, as it is good enough for me so far (despite a slight decentering)

Edit: Oh, I got to say, I don't have a K-3 Generally use the K-01

I seem to go through phases... at the moment, my three go to lenses are my "Good Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 20mm F2.8), my "Special Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2) and my “Sweetheart” (SMC Pentax-A* 85mm F1.4).

Strangely enough I've not even mounted on the K1 yet my "Lady Luck” (SMC Pentax-A* 135mm F1.8), who was a firm favourite from the harem on the K20Ds, as I'm really enjoying the other three so much.

Actually, I think he has the FL's correct to achieve a roughly equivalent FoV. (18, 35, 90 e= 28, 55, 135)

A20/2.8, K35/3.5, K85/1.8 on APSc
K28/3.5, K55/1.8, K135/2.5 on FF (though I use the K105/2.8)

My three lens prime kit for travel right now is the DA21, DA35/2.4, and DA70. For portraits I currently take the DA50, DA70, and DA*50-135. I'm hoping soon to switch the portrait kit up to sig art 35, DA*55, and DA*50-135 and replace my DA35/2.4 with a DA40 in the travel kit.

On film, its the M35/2, M50/1.4, and M85/2.

I take whatever 3 lenses I think I may need in a given trip.
It could be my 15 along with the 18-55 and the 50-200 if I want to go light. If I think I might need some low light ability I may swap the 15 for the 50 1.8.
If I plan on shooting birds or wildlife I will swap the 50-200 with the 55-300.
For paid shoots which consist of portraits I will bring the Sigma 17-50 2.8, the 50 1.8 and the 70 2.4 Limited.

Basically I do not have a 3 lens kit that fits every situation. I like options.

I have been using my Think Tank Speed Demon V2 for most outings except wedding jobs that require my entire kit.

My standard kit is K5-II with DA 16-45, DA-L 55-300 and DA 35 f/2.4. Relatively low cost with all the quality I need.

Deppending on the situation the 35 f/2.4 may be replaced by an FA 50 f/1.4, or even occasionally a Tamron SP 90 f/2.5 macro if I expect close range small things, but there's always a fast prime in my bag to compensate for the relative slowness of my f4+ zooms.

Just started using a used K-30 and tested a lot of lenses that I collected while saving for a K-1. Decided that a K-30 is good enough I ended my savings for the K-1 for the time being and the 3 lenses that impressed me most so far are;
-K30/2.8
-A50/2.8 macro
-A100/2.8 macro

I do like the K20/4 but it is sensitive to flare, and going non-Pentax I like the Steinheil-München Macro-Quinar 100/2.8 (m42 version) more than the A100/2.8 macro. For the A50/2.8 I use a Revuenon 55mm f1.2 as off-brand alternative.
In case you didn`t notice; I do like manual lenses

K5 with 18-135, 55-300 and 150-500. Its' what I've got and use.

Although the 55-300 (a very nice copy) doesn't get used as much as it once did since I got the 150-500. I tend to shoot at the long end (400-500).

Sounds like I need the 10-20 to complete my three.

10 to 500 in a three lens combination - truly amazing.
Heavens to Betsy! 10-20, 18-135, and 150-500 sounds like a nice threesome, but how could you possibly live with that gap between 135mm and 150mm?!

If my math is right, the 18-135, 55-300, and Sigma 150-500 comes to 97.5 oz, or just over 6 pounds of lenses. That's a lot of glass!

I tend to switch my 3 lens kit often. On a recent trip to Washington's San Juan Islands, Olympic Peninsula and Western Coast I took my two most frequently used 3 lens kits.

Kit one, DA15, F28 and DA70.
Kit two, DA10-17, DA18-135 and DA*60-250.

Because of the nature of the trip (wife, 2 dogs and lots of travel) and conditions ( sandy, salty and breezy beaches) the 18-135 and 60-250 were used about 90% while the primes and UWA zoom made up the other 10% or so. I love primes but sometimes the convenience and utility of zooms wins.

BTW performance of 60-250 seems almost prime like. An excellent newer addition for my kit.
