I would certainly include the 10-17 just for the fun of it!

During insect season, the FA100 f2.8 lives on my K3II, joined now by the Sunpak ring flash.

Otherwise, the lenses I'm most likely to use are:
DA 21mm ltd
DA 55-300
DA 18-135

The 18-135 is a nice lens for travel and places like the dog park.

When I do travel with the larger bag I'll always take the 10-17 and the M50 1.4 or A50 1.7.

My triple-header is still a work in progress. The 20-40 + DA50-200wr is my most-used duo for now, but both smc-A 70-210/4 and an elder Sigma 15/2.8 manual fisheye arrive Friday to mess up the lineup. Calisco/hyper - that DA70 would be a very nice match with the 20-40! I like the 20-40, 70 and M100/2.8 as my future trio, with the 15 substituting at the 'proper' times.

For specialty uses I have a 300mm mirror lens and a 400/6.3 preset at the long end but they don't get much camera time nowadays.

Bass-ackwards on the FF Spotmatic, Imp. On an APS-C that would be more like about 40, 80 an' 200.
What APC lens lengths would give you about these FF lengths so that you could repeat the range (sort of)? a 21mm, 41.25mm, 101.25mm, My travel kit is the 21mm, the 40mm and the 70mm (limiteds). If the Tak 135 was swapped out for the 105mm then the short tele in APSC "equivalency' (I know ;-) ) would be 78mm and a 90mm something would be 67.5mm so a 70mm portrait length is perfect for me anyway.

So travelling light kit: 21, 40, 70, K3 with wrist strap in small messenger bag. (Almost as small as a Mirrorless set up)

Travelling heavy, Sigma 8-16, DA 16-45, DA 50-200, Tokina 80-400, K3 and Grip on neck strap and Back pack and tripod, That's four lenses so one day I'd like to swap out the two middle lenses for the DA 16-85 or the 70 - 200- (sometime).

Takumar Redux: 28, 50 or 55, 100, K20 in B&W mode with adapter and split image focus screen, medium messenger bag

I have a rather modest collection of lenses (or cheap if you prefer) for my K-5 and picking 3 of them has brought me to nominate;

SUPER REFLECTA 55mm F:1.4 (has stiff grease in focus ring), M42 mount so I will need my adapter.
SMC PENTAX-A 35-105mm F:3.5 67mm filter thread
TAMRON SP23A 60-300mm F:3.8-5.4 P/K (A) mount

All manual lenses that have many decades (and probably owners) between them but still work.
I went with the Super Refecta rather than my Pentax-A 50mm F:1.7 or -M 28mm F:3.5 purely because it has a wider aperture.
No wide angle lens though I did consider the 18-55 WR kit lens instead of a prime.
I have the -F 35-70mm, 35-105mm and 70-210mm lenses but prefer the -A and Tamron zooms.

BUT if I were to nominate ANY of the lenses available (or even those that currently do not come in a Pentax mount) I doubt if I could choose only 3 and of course those lenses would be chosen on the basis of the reviews of others.

Total cost of these lenses (with adapters) was less than $100 US. Perhaps I should change my handle to cheapskate.

My travel or walk around is K-1, Voigtlander Colour Skopar 20/3.5, FA 31, FA 43, FA 77 and F*300/4.5 in a Domke 5xc.

Some times K-1 with K30/2.8, K50/1.2 and K85/1.8 and Domke 5xb... retro mood...all DCShooter silvered lenses.

Some times K-1, 31,77 and DFA 150-450..... bush walking

Some times K-1, 31, 43 and sigma 70-200/2.8... parties/functions/people/pets

DA 10-17 tags along sometimes.

I've finished buying lenses.

Selling my HD DA 15 & 21 shortly. K3 kept as spare body. Anyone want a K5II?

Hey Noel, If you're giving it away I'll be happy to take it off your hands.

Cheers, Frank.

Pretty much my light traveling kit right now. With either the K3 or K-01
