The difference would be closer to 50 grams, then. Everybody's hands are different (I found my hands would hurt after using the K-30 for a few hours, while that never happened with the K-r); it's always a good idea to handle the camera before committing.

to help I use one of these on my k-m if doing long shoots

I can still use this on any new camera too.
