K-1 Review

There is a very nice review of the K-1 by Joe Farace in the October issue of Shutterbug magazine.

The final paragraph contains this:

QuoteQuote:
...I don't like to spend the reader's money and usually point users of existing camera systems to stick to new cameras from the same manufacturer' system. But the impressive Pentax K-1 has me changing my mind about that. If there were ever a traditional-sized DSLR that could get me to dump my existing DSLR rig and change systems, the Pentax K-1 would be it.
Now all I have to do is convince my wife that I need one.

Good luck, Man!

I wish I could do it with my wife too
When you find the way, don't forget to mention it
Good luck again!

That's a very encouraging conclusion to the review - exactly the sort of publicity and accolade that Ricoh / Pentax and the K-1 deserve

A K-1 would be less expensive, too

True, but you have to accept there'll be some financial loss when switching systems

Well I think that a good wife is a little more useful than K-1 although
Am I right?

I'm divorced and photography is my hobby... I'm probably not the best person to ask!

I have to say this is a very sexist conversation and probably inappropriate. So I will stop chuckling now.

Well personally I have saved $600 towards a K-1 so far and approved (by my financial controller) "present" budget allows about $1K, so I'm getting close!
