Pentax k-x

Hi,
Anyone still using the Pentax k-x? What's your experience?
Thanks.

Excellent little camera. Used it about a month ago. Has one control dial, ISO200 is as low as it goes, uses AA batteries, etc.

Great little camera. Good image quality, AA battery power will take you anywhere, optically stabilised video, and excellent ergonomics - one handed use is entirely possible. Plus it remains just about the smallest DSLR out there.

Great camera for begginers. Not to much buttons, controls etc.. but everything You need is 1-2 clicks away
I've been using it for last 7 years and just today bought the K-70 as a successor. But K-x will wait for it's time.
7 years and no problems, not once.
Usable ISO up to 3200, great performance on eneloop pro batteries - up to 2000 photos per charge!!! and if you make more (and don't have backup) just go to any store and buy some AA batteries!!!
It is light, well build, great to have some fun with photos.

I plan to give it to my wife if she wants it, or to my sone when he grows p a little.

I still use mine a fair bit even though I have a couple of K5s. It has a great sensor, has a more convenient location for the green button, and still does most everything required! Would be nice to have focus point and a higher res screen.

I still have mine as well. The other day I was looking back at some photos I took with it and to me the color seemed to be better with the K-x than with my recent cameras, the K-30 and K-50. I'll keep it, even though I now have four other cameras. I liked the way it felt in my hands, comfortable and easy to handle.

Thank you clackers, rawr, i_trax, gelokrol, cjn314, sergysergy, photolady95 and ddharriman. Much appreciated. There was an opportunity to get one on eBay but it's been sold.

The Kx & K200d (two of each), share duties as my main cameras.

The Kx, coupled with a Tamron 28-300xr lens, is my grab & go setup. Very small & comfy.

Even though the one you were looking at has sold, it seems to come up fairly often on the used market.

My first DSLR, used it just last week to do a photoshoot while my K1 is in the shop. Paired it will my DA 35 2.4 and it still performs incredibly well. Two most recent images on my IG were taken with that combo. www.instagram.com/JLS_PHOTO

I used mine for my second-shooter at a graduation back in Spring. I could definitely tell the improvement in image quality my K-30 has made, but it still produced perfectly suitable images for my clients.

Thanks lithedreamer. The K-30 and K-5 would definitely be my first choices but my budget's pretty low at the moment.
