Why would Pentax drop certain technologies with their newest bodies?

NFC would be useless to me and I have never connected my K3 to a computer. I pull out the card and slot it into the computer.

I'd say it's a good decision to remove technologies which add complexity, cost and size while offering no real advantage.

NFC is awesome when connecting the K-S2 with a phone.
I can somewhat understand the USB thing but still.....
