Hi David, sorry to hear the problem still hasn't been fixed Hope you'd find a cure soon.

I myself had quite a bit IR fun today, took quite some IR photos w/ a modified K100D. W/ the DA21 mounted, I don't even need any AF adjustment:

100% crop on the eyes:

And use IR converted camera to take candid shots is so much easier now:

Of course we all like to take tree photos w/ IR:

And the result can be quite interesting too after some play w/ color ajustment:

WOW what COOL shots FRANK. I want one too. lol
Who does the best job for the best price? I have a K100D and they seem to be the better camera to do this too.

Thanks
Jack

Very nice series of shots, Frank.
Interesting to see how good the resolution is, too...

Hopefully we will be able to take some K100D IR shots too, at some stage in the future (if we ever figure out how to fix our annoying 'Memory Card Locked' error!)

Thanks Jack and David

Here is another IR portrait taken by IR K100D and DA21, my lovely daughter looks like a ghost in IR:

in fact, it may be even a general fault of not being able to write from the image buffer at all - since I could get Pentax Remote Assistant to fully control the cam, but when I took a shot using the remote menu it would not download the image to the software - just showed it on the LCD before giving a little 'write error' graphic and losing the image as usual...
Was this with the card in? If so, try it with no card..

That's without the card.
With a card in, it won't take a picture at all - won't activate the shutter release, either manually or with the software - just gives a memory error.

We have not had the time to try taking the back off again yet - and even when we do, unless there is something obvious (like a loose wire etc.) I am not sure we will be able to find the problem (not really knowing which parts of the circuit board do what)...
