Is the Image Sync app still terrible?

It has terrible reviews for the current version on the iOS App Store, but I was poking around with Instagram and it seems like a huge pain to add to my workflow. Either I have to contend with a currently broken LR plugin, or I have to move files from my camera to my computer to my mobile device to Instagram...

It's not enough to make me jump to Nikon for Snapbridge (ugh, that's another mess) but it sure isn't helping me upgrade my aging K-30.

It's not that bad. But I do hope they put in some serious development effort and at least bring it up to part with the Theta's apps, which are much better by comparison.

It's not great, but I have used it to post images on Facebook. If the photo needs some work on it and I want to watermark it, I still need to use LR. Instagram needs to have a Windows version..

I think all SLR cameras wifi apps are pretty buggy and not well written.

It's better than it used to be. The NFC start up really works well now with my Galaxy S6 and K-S2. I do wish I could turn off shake reduction when it's being used though, i have to remember to do that before i start it up. It biggest usefulness to me is transferring images to the smart phone or table though.

I don't use Image Sync for transferring images, for that I just pull the SD card and transfer directly. But I do use Image Sync for remote use. I like being able to not only see the image in live view, but change settings and even focus points. Much better than using a standard remote. This is with the K-S2 and Samsung S5 phone.
