Inside Photography

Found this in the bibble forums.

Nice. I'm both a K10D shooter AND a Linux user. Unfortunately, I really have no desire to shoot tethered.

Damn, do I have to trade in my K20D for a K10D?? :-)

Wow, this would be fantastic to get working. I've been wanting to try shooting tethered for a while.

This is very encouraging. The source code is published - only a matter of time before it gets ported to other platforms, enhanced, perhaps extended to other Pentax DSLRs, maybe even made into a plugin.

Could be the start of something very useful.

The original poster on the Bibble forum asked if it could make it into Bibble.
I doubt even if they would consider it it could make it into the first Bibble 5 release, but yeah i'd love to see this used and extended.

the above is from pslr.h
5 and 3 digits instead of the usual vendor:id i would have expected from usb devices

would be interesting to find out where those ids come from and we should be able to add K20D K200D, right now i don't see those numbers come up for my K20D

would be nice if the original author could extend it, for the model specific parts check for commands that i would have no clue about even if i could find the correct definitions.

I emailed the author to ask about an update to include K20D. I'll post a response when I receive one.

Same thing here. He lives in Europe somewhere, and since August is generally a vacation month over there it might be September before we get a reply

Good job Moo. Looks pretty trivial to update for K20D/K200d support then :-)
