Pixel Shift with K-1 and K-P

Assuming common lens and setting, is there a time difference for the interval between shots (frames) within a Pixel Shift shot for the cameras? Does the extra chip in the K-P reduce the time between shots?

Thanks,
RONC

In theory (I don't have a KP), it's the max frame rate of the camera that should set the interval between frames with Pixel Shift. This is often a function of how quickly the sensor can read all the pixels not how fast camera's chips can process the data. The KP claims to offer 7 frames-per-second which means it should be able to take a full PS frame set in 3/7 of a second plus about four times the shutter speed.

The KP's accelerator chip would help speed subsequent processing of the captured frames more so than speed gathering of said frames.

Thanks for the response.
I was hoping that the other chip might offload the burden of the sensor to improve the throughput. Some of the K 1 PixelShift example have so much time between adjacent frames that movement shows as discreet anomalies. We can't resist pushing passed what the technology dictates.
