Glad it's a Moon.
Here's my latest attempt. My wife told me the Moon was rising over the houses in front of our balcony so I set up the tripod and used the K10D + Sigma CAT 400mm f/5.6 + Tamron 1.4x TC, so I shot at 560mm f/8. I had wanted to test the TC with the mirror lens for a while, as I'd read that these lenses don't fare well with TCs. While not fantastic, the result isn't too bad either. Frame is a crop (in case it's not obvious).
This was taken at about the same phase as
Wildman's pic, so I can compare exactly how far I need to go to get a result as great as his. Yeah, it's quite far
