Lovely shot, Ivan!

Pristine water still exists. Even here in the very centre of Europe. K7 + Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DL.
Thank you for your feedback. Please do not be offended by me. It seems to me that if you raise the exposure a little, the photo would look better.

Thanks for pointing to this. I don't feel offended at all. Quite a lot of my shots are a little "low key" style.
The exposure compensation value was indeed set to -2/3 EV while shooting the scene, so I've compensated that value back in RawTherapee. Actually an ETTL shot below.

As for K7 colours

First of all, big kudos for @Ivan for sharing a tool for enabling debug mode in the camera. Not that auto-focus performance was really bad, but the user's Fine AF Adjustment was already at its (+) maximum and still something was needed. Now most of the pictures are tack sharp (well minus AA filter).

When speaking about K7 colours, fully saturated and yet not "acidic" as with K5 and more recent cameras, here are two fresh almost SOOC JPEGs (absolutely no colour correction, just slightly cropped and downsized). The lens used was DA 16-45/4.

K7 with DA 16-45/4 again. Happy to have them.
UPDATE: Darktable re-developed, lighter version added.

K7 + Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DL, first @260mm, second (the same direction) @28mm. Enjoy and post some shots taken with this great camera, guys!

The k-7 was a rarity for me: I bought it brand new. I didn't have the nerve to preorder, but paid full price. I loved the look and feel but the sensor was similar to micro43 12-Mpx at the time. I had no pp skills so i bailed.

I've another arriving Thursday .
I'm still a pp novice.. but I know more about what's possible!

Among other things I'll be exploring the 3:2 HD video mode, a rare thing in this 16:9 world. I expect the k-s2 will win for stills, but the familiar body type is an important factor.

My new to me K-7 arrived yesterday morning with an 18-50 WR lens. Snapped a few pics to get acquainted coming from Nikon long term user. Simple enough so brought along my Tamron SP 300mm f2.8 and another find the Adaptall2 Ka adapter untried. Stopped at the park after Dr appointment and with long lens in hand tested the SR capabilities. I like what I’m seeing more Pentax bodies and lenses in my future.

Welcome!
Thank you!
I’m liking what I’m seeing with this $100 camera and 18-55 WR lens, 50-200 WR lens arrived today but no play time with it yet. Can’t beat a Tamron SP lens with the adapter made for these Af bodies on the K-7, full features that you just don’t get with other manual lenses. Pentax has truly captured my full attention.

Bought a K-7 to replace my *istD in 2009. Replaced the K-7 with a KP in 2019. Still use the K-7 depending on the attached lens.

K-7, DA12-24mm F4, "All German Day" March 2019, Newcastle, NSW
