Sorry to hear, especially since I'm a motorcyclist myself. I'm well aware it can be an annoyance for some, so at least I drive with low revs when around houses.

Unfortunately, not all riders are as considerate as yourself. We are so "fortunate" to have a Harley-Davidson dealer a block away, and the place is a mecca for bikers. On weekends, it's nonstop rumbling, blasting and backfiring HDs all day long, some with modified/non-existent muffler packs. There are a few considerate bikers who try to pass by as quietly as possible, but they are in the minority. By the way, I rode for years myself, but I hung up my spokes awhile back, after having one close call too many! I still pedal my bicycle around these days, though. What kind of cycle do you ride?

Staying on-topic, here's a snap of my wife and dog at the creek, back in Texas in 2013. DA18-55 on *ist D:

I know what you mean. Always trying to anticipate what other drivers possibly might do next, even if it seems to be far fetched.

A Honda 650 NX, a street legal trail bike, but better fitted for street use than heavy trails. I like it because of the high seat position, so it's easy to peek over normal height cars. What bike was your ride?

Ah, a big thumper! Looks like a capable machine. I owned a dual-purpose bike once - a '78 Kawasaki KE250 2-stroke, and had a lot of fun with it. Over the years, I've owned quite a few bikes, on- and offroad models. The last one was an '86 Kawasaki Concours 1000, kind of a touring version of the Ninja. Great bike.

I still have my old K-100D and still use it every now and again. Sometimes on a family trip I'll take it just to play with. Then I don't have to worry about theft, eh?
Still, the interpretation of color on that old camera is special and can still amaze me.
I can literally shoot thousands of shots on a modern SD card!!!

Thank's glinda. Btw your picture reminded me of a story from H. Hesse I once read - "Iris". I know it's not an Iris in your pic but it did the trick.

@Simon K Excellent job with the Summer 2014 shot. Lovely colour + slight motion blur making it look more dynamic. The paddleboarder and the smith with sparks are great shots too!
@jct us101 Awesome light!
Other recent shot are very nice as well.

The scene below was captured no more than 2 hours ago while returning from a cycling trip. K100D + Sigma 28-300 (180mm).
