I was just perusing the latest posts in "The Six-Megapixel Club" (since, although I do own a couple of K-3 bodies, I also own - and use, especially for TTL flash - an *ist DS, which was my very first DSLR, and an *ist DS2), and the photo with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in it (at least I ~think~ it's Steven Tyler) just caught my eye -- Steven lives in my own town, a couple of miles away from where I live, and I see that the photos are from a concert in Barcelona, and I'm also watching Rafa Nadal, the Spaniard who just happens to be my favorite tennis player, at Wimbledon, on the TeeVee.

Well, at least ~I~ thought it was interesting...

Anyhoo, just to keep this post more on topic, I'd say that Michi Joel's own *ist DS and the Reveunon 55/1.2 did a very good job capturing all the action at that concert "over there" in Catalonia.

Lovely reflections on the water Paul... I would like to photograph water more, and there are lakes relatively nearby, I just need to pull myself away from the trees and flowers around them...

Three with my Samsung GX-1S and Pentax-A 50/1.4. On film cameras the M and A series lenses seemed near identical to me, except the M lenses usually have a better quality aperture ring so I slightly preferred them. With a DSLR though, the fact I can use the A series on A mode and Av mode makes them significantly more fluid to use than the Ms, where I have to use M mode, use the AE lock button to meter, then usually tweak the shutter speed one way or the other as obviously you can't use exposure compensation on Manual mode. This all makes it a bit clumsy compared with A lenses or Takumars on Av mode.

Anyways, I'm pretty delighted with the 6MP CCD whichever lens it has in front of it!

When I get the chance I'll have to post a few from my ist DL, which I still use. I originally purchased it used as a Back Up for my K10 D, which was my first new Pentax DSLR. What I still love about the ist DL is the simplicity, no frills just made for shooting.
