My daughter took the K100DS out to the lakefront one morning a few months back.

Using an old manual pentax 35-70mm lens on my *istD L and a little bit of PP to make it look "vintage"

And again but with more modern PP

Speaking of the camera, I always upscale my picture and nobody notice it was actually a 6mp picture!

No modification to color setting beyond setting the camera to 'Bright'. But she was out on the wharf at 5:00am!

Good shooting everyone
Here's a shot from about a week ago with the M28/3.5 on the old *ist D. I really love this combo.

Great-looking combo too, esp with that official-looking hood.

Taken a couple years ago with a no-name Image 28/2.8 on the *ist D:

A man can only take so much. This thread is just too beautiful to resist anymore. Can I join in with this one with the K100D from 2012, in my first month after switching to digital from film?

Dave, that image is simply stunning. The lighting and textures create a very dramatic rendering.

What E-man said ^^. Gorgeous! I know you own a K10D, but I think you need to be on the lookout for another 6-megapickler body

Thank you both. I've been fighting against the influence of this thread since the day you started it, Paul, but you're right: I need a 6-megapickler back in my life!

I have to join in the praise...

Dave, beautiful shot - very typically you, and all the better for it. Excellent timing with the light, while the angle and composition are just... spot on. Beautiful use of the shadows, too.

Looking at the EXIF, I see it was shot at 28mm... I find a lot of my own favourite APS-C shots are at 28mm - partly because that's the lower limit on my favourite Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 lens, but I really do like the field of view at this focal length. I can understand why the FA43 Limited is so popular on full-frame

I picked up a really nice GX-1L a few days ago, and I so desperately want to get out and shoot it... even more after seeing this!

Thanks Mike. You're right about the 28mm on APS-C. I have a tendency to go wider with the 20mm or 24mm, but every time I use the 28mm it just looks so right.
