Lovely composition, Dave, and great use of the fish-eye!

Now those are bokeh balls! I think you might have found the perfect lens for photographing Xmas tree lights there, Paul.

This one is underneath Meldon Viaduct this afternoon. It isn't used by trains anymore and you can walk across it. . . if you've got the head for heights. I didn't even consider trying, as being found curled up in a sobbing ball halfway across really wouldn't do my image much good. (Takumar 17mm fisheye.)

Nice one, and yes it looks fairly high! I wonder what the non-defished image looks like...?
No kidding about the Christmas balls!

Good work, esp like #2. btw, your tilted horizon in #1 is easily corrected in PP - (unless you left it intentionally!)

At lake's edge - F35-70 on *ist D:

If anyone tries to claim that you can't get great photos with six megapixels, just point them at this one page right here. Page 26 of the Six Megapixel Club. Wonderful things, and "likes" all round.

Lovely light in these, Paul. That second shot is particularly nice... I think many of us would have been tempted to focus on the dog, but having it as part of a gently blurred background for those branches was an excellent choice. One of those shots where no other aperture setting would have worked, as the depth of field / level of blurring is just right

I completely agree with Mike. Paul, that second shot with the dog is really very special and magical. 99% of modern digital photographers would have gone for maximum depth of field and ended up with something very ordinary, but you didn't. You turned it into something really extraordinary and beautiful just by making a better choice about where to focus. A photo that you can look at again and again and discover more each time.
