Smeaton's Tower on Plymouth Hoe with the DL2 and Takumar 17mm fisheye. I was amazed how close I was able to stand to the tower and still get the whole thing in the frame.

EDIT: I decided to add a colour corrected version, because the original looks like it has a colour cast.

Ah, you're right in my favourite territory, Paul... 6 megapickle Pentax *and* a Soviet Industar-50-2 to boot. I have something like a dozen of those little lenses - from early 1960s rangefinder and SLR versions through to the very last. I've bought them seized up, broken, optical elements scratched or plagued with fungus, and I've delighted in the 20 - 30 minute service job that has them operating like new again. They're such an under-rated little lens, as your first image shows... That characteristic Tessar out-of-focus rendering (with a slight swirl evident in the foliage) is lovely, helped nicely, of course, with great composition. Thumbs up

Thanks so much, Mike - yes, its a great little combo. I think mine is one of the more recent variants - the markings are fairly modern looking. My biggest gripe (besides the quirky aperture setting method!) is that snoot-like lens hood keeps falling off! I must have picked it up off the ground a dozen times.

Definitely yes was looking just yesterday at some pics I made with that camera when I used it as a first body and, boy, do the colors pop.

A pity my K100D Super is not working anymore on anything but the better Ni-Mh I have, fully charged...
Probably it would work on non-rechargeable Lithium, but non-rechargeable are too inconvenient for me.
