*ist D L2

A few shots from my stroll out this morning with my recently acquired *ist D L2. The flowers were taken with a DA 18-55mm that I found for £3 , the butterfly with a 90-300mm of "alternative manufacture".

Does this mean I've to throw the other thirty from the K1 away, in order to post here?

Yes indeed. Then I'll start posting six shot stitches from my *ist in the K-1 thread.

Very good.

Think my throwing away... will be easier to do than your stitching.

I think I have a solution for Kerrowdown. The K-1 has an 8 mpx setting (3456x2304). Just use that, then a wee bit of cropping and you should be good! We look forward to your contributions with bated breath. (or is it 'baited' ?)

Yes, but he'll have to swap out the CMOS sensor for a CCD...

Just a twenty five percent crop on the file size you suggest and I'm good to go...

eh....thanks, but probably not. My old Canon Powershot SD450 from 2005 *is* a 5 megapickle camera, but I don't think I wanna post those shots here.

But here's an *ist D image with the M50/1.7 (xposted)

I can't believe I'm actually posting these online, and I'm sorry that they're not 6 megapicklers, but I thought they'd give you a laugh. Last month I was cleaning out a box of old junk and found a little credit card sized toy camera called the L'espion Mini, which I now realise was the first digital camera I ever owned. 356 x 292 pixels of low-res fun.

Here's a couple of test snaps. The first is a single frame, and the second is an attempt at a multi-shot stitch. The light was very bad that day, so perhaps I'll try some more later today since it's sunny. Maybe I should start an "Under 1 Megapixel Club"?

I had one of those too! I bought it on a flight from London to New York some years ago... I'm not sure if I've still got it somewhere. I'll have to have a look
