Glad to see the 6MP Club still going strong!
I was around when Paul started the group a couple of years back, but then after discovering a Ricoh GRD III, Pentax Q and Lumix LX3, kind of gave up on DSLRs (I had a K10D, Samsung GX10 (K10D clone!) and Samsung GX-1S (*ist DS2 clone)) and sold them.
Then a couple of months ago, frustrated with using M42 lenses on a Lumix GF1 mirrorless (lovely camera but awful handling and awkward with M42 lens and adapter), decided I needed a DSLR again. Naturally I returned to Pentax, and a K30. Then found it was still a bit of a faff using M42 lenses, so stuck with the DA 35/2.4 and A 50/1.7 I had.
Despite thinking the K30 is a cracking camera, I was not really loving the colours coming out of it, plus found it just a bit too sharp and clinical for me - and way over spec'd for my needs. So I went back in time again and found a K100D for all of £26.
I love the simplicity of the K10D - everything you need and nothing more, and right at your fingertips.
And I remembered what was so great about those old CCD sensors, and their stunning colours!
These couple made with my new (to me) K100D, straight out of camera JPEGs on the "Bright" setting, everything else neutral/zero.
Thanks for looking!
