The focus ring completely seized up a couple years ago. One day it was fine, the next day it's locked solid. I still have the lens in case I ever attempt to repair it. Meanwhile, I acquired a takumar 20/4.5 and a da 16-45 to replace that FL.

I have dissambled several cameras for repair / fix in the past. The trouble I have with glasses is dust.

I always wanted to make a "clean air box" to avoid dust the glass element. In fact is some of my hobby project, something like the next video:

I have a broken MX focus-screen that I would like to put in the *ist DS but I want it to be pristine (no dust). I will have to wait for the clean box to be finished.
