Definitely not a secret - It was the kit lens bought with the camera - smc PENTAX-DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED. It was my first real holiday after buying my first DSLR, so it was very much a learning experience.

I have
smc PENTAX DA 50-200 mm F4-5.6 ED WR. Your photo can be seen in full size. I saw a familiar picture. I'm afraid to say not a popular thing. This lens does not work well even at 6MP. With any aperture. There is no way to trim. I feel a little disappointed. But in spite of the above, the photo you have turned out wonderful, the depth of field was just a little lacking .

Sorry to say, I'm out of the game for now. The adjustment wheel of my K100D broke again, so I think it's time now for the final retirement of my first ever dslr. Happy shooting everyone.

Thank you, Glinda. Let's see if I can get a replacement at a reasonable price.

Very nice - I believe they call that a sun dog. Have you tried a light spray contact cleaner on the control wheel? Or is the wheel itself broken?

The wheel itself is fine, it's the contacts of the potentiometer inside the camera body that are worn out I guess. I had the camera opened some weeks ago and treated the poti with a dripplet of contact agent wich made it work again, though not for long as you see. The proper thing to do would be to replace the poti probably, but then I think I will be better off looking for a K100D or an *ist Ds with a low shutter count.

I've found an instruction on how to remove the top plate of an *ist Ds in order to do the job. Works nearly identical for the K100D. Here's the link, maybe it will be of use for someone too.

Right this moment I got an answer from a seller at ebay. Maybe I can come to an agreement with him.

I like that picture. Brings back memories, when I was picking grapes in my uncle's vinyard back then.
