Those edges and bricks could be an interesting task for an SMC Pentax 28mm F3.5 Shift.
A local reseller has a used (fully functional) piece for $580. I was tempted to try it but it would probably be just another expensive toy.
Expensive toy ?, no its only a lens ........ which you will use ..... won't you ?

Focal length yes but not those architectural properties. Maybe for a couple test shots - otherwise too many things to set up in my hasty photographic style.

Hi there

Seems I've been unconsciously part of the group since 2006

Just two pictures to say hello (unmaipulated uncropped jpegs - resized only):

Lilac taken with FA 50/2.8 macro at 2.8

My kids with Sigma 70-300 apo dg at 4.0 100mm

I love my K100D super (got 2 of them ) and I am so happy I am not only one who enjoys the sweet and vintage rendering of CCD sensor

On my K-5 II, when I have the camera in M mode, I can stop a lens down using the DoF Preview function and the camera will display a light meter for the current camera & lens settings. Do the 6ish mpixel Pentax cameras offer this function as well?

I'm very idly toying with the idea of getting a camera with this era of sensor an experiment and would like to use my manual aperture k-mount glass (so, pre A-series) on whatever camera I get, but I don't really want to be without this light metering function as I like it a lot on my K-5 II. My hope is the K100D Super has this but maybe there's a better 6 mpixel Pentax that I haven't considered.

Not sure about the K100-series, but my original *ist D does have it! (DOF preview/stop-down)

A couple old ones - SMC-A35/2.8 on K100D:

I went reading and it seems like they all have DoF stop-down. I didn't know if the meter display was available when that feature was used or not; I assume yes? This is my preferred method of metering vs.the green button (which I know some of those cameras lack) when using a non-A lens.

Until this morning, when I saw a *ist DS with a 18-125mm and 70-300mm lense for $150AU, in excellent condition for sale locally.
I know right! The value out there is astonishing. I managed to grab a K100d, supposedly non-functioning for AU$32 inc freight! Cleaned the battery contacts and it works perfectly: I even took some pics on the weekend with my 80+ year old grandparents, and when viewing the pics which were raw, in gwenview (untouched) my grandpa commented about how good the colours are!

So anyways: My question for today: The *ist DL I bought for my sister is missing the eyecup, and the one for my DL2, isn't perfect either: So I want to get a pair, the Manual says they're the Pentax FN, but I'm not seeing any on ebay or through the local suppliers: Searching gives all sorts of answers: Does anyone know of a replacement that suits fine for the *ist DL(2), either Pentax or knock off? TIA.

I have a K100D Super & just tried it. It comes up with exposure settings & a relative exposure number (flashing -3 in my darkish predawn room). So it appears it does have a meter. I didn't know it did that!
