This is smashing picture.

I should try more boat stuff when the harbour by me is back in full use. Nothing as big as this. But interesting subject to use longer manual lens on.

I think paul and many others like the a50 /4 macro is it , paul ? I have the a50/ 2.8 which is an excellent lens
The da (or it is dfa ) 100/2.8 is great , though it hunts for focus sometimes autofocusing but give nice bokeh and images.

My two cents , the others here know more. : )

I'll have to save some pennies after xmas (starting off cheap for a reason), I am watching a SMC100mm F2.8 in ebay, so am on the right wave length. I'll be sure to keep a note and make sure I buy the right bit of kit as will be the biggest expense, but I do love close up / flower / plant photography.

@glinda - I have the A50/2.8 as well. Excellent lens and the only "macro" lens I own.
