You're getting some nice shots with that M40!

Super Tak 28/3.5 on *ist D (yes, that's Jeannie back there )
You know , even though the exif says thats the 40 , those look more like from one of my longer lenses, at least on those two.
But really i am not sure.
And...
Gotta like that little jeannie .

Hi Paul, all the while I didn't know the *ist D is limited to iso 1600, always thought it's the same as the K100D
I just looked at the specs on the camera review page, and it does show iso3200 - possibly an extended range setting I wasn't aware of ?? (I won't be testing it out )

I remembered a low ISO for this tough little rose, trying to flower in December, in the UK.

three slightly differing reflections in those orange planets too.

cool .
Thank's Glinda. That's because they are slightly vaulted and because of the short distance I had to them when I took the photo. However, in the embedded Jpeg preview the "planets" appear plain red without any visible reflection at all. That's because they are illuminated from within so the red channel was oversatureted. With the rawconverter it was possible to pull down the saturation of the reds and the reflections came to view.
