I’ve been reading some local history of the area and found an account of an earlier settler returning in the 1930s to find the rive rbanks stripped, streams sluggish and polluted, and utility and ugliness dominating the landscape. Things haven’t changed much in many of the public spaces here since then. Feeling particularly down one day I forced myself to go for a walk in some pretty ordinar yweather and think I was primed to notice these things more than usual. I decided to take a series of photos of things that I would usually pass up because they were marked, marred, verging on the banal, or just butt-ugly. Looking at them on the bigger screen at home I thought they looked interesting enough to process and post.I’ve previously posted some of these on the B&W thread, *istDSand DA XS 40mm f2.8;
