Rokinon 14mm 2.8 for Pentax aperture ring

Is this lens has the A on the aperture ring?
Thanks

Yes, it does. Some other mounts (Canon?) do not have auto aperture but K-mount does.

Yes, but for some reason most online places (e.g. Adorama & B&H) don't show the correct photo.

Samyang 14mm f 2.8 is sold under many names like Walimex, Rokinon, Bower and others. They are all esentially the same lens. The lens comes in various mounts and they don't all have the same stuff. For example, Nikon mount needs a chip (older version of the 14mm did not have that), Canon is different yet again.. Pentax K-mount has A on aperture ring. It works normally with auto aperture. I use it all the the time (Samyang version).
It is a sharp lens, very good. Has some downsides, mainly problems with decentering in the earlier batches of the lens. So do some tests to see if your lens is decentered or working normally. If you get a good copy, you will be very happy with it. I recommend you learn Zone focusing and Hyperfocal focusing. The distance scale on that lens is often miscalibrated. There are youtube videos and blog posts about how to fix that easily yourself. I never fixed it on mine, I just learned how much off the distance scale is. If you shoot above appx. f6.3 your DoF will be really massive and focusing will not be a big issue.

You use Av mode, f2.8, and then do tests and remember the marking. When focusing under 40cm, you can see the focus clearly. When above that, you rely on zone focusing and hyperfocal. So you learn what the focus mark is for "everything from 1m to near infinity" "middleground, near but not super close" and so on. You only need to know like 4 marks for 99% of the photos you will take. You shoot at f2.8 when you learn this, but out in the field you shoot above f5.6 so you have enough DoF to cover the slight misfocusing

I only use it on a tripod and with live view, helps to nail every shot focus wise)

I would run your lens threw it's paces, so if your copy is bad you can return it! Have a Samyang 14mm F/2.8 and has all kinds of problems decentered etc. and not usable. If you get a good copy I think it's a great lens good luck!

I have the Vivitar version.
amazon.com : Vivitar VIV-13MM-P 13mm F2.8 lens for Pentax : Camera Lenses : Camera & Photo?tag=pentaxforums-20&
I really lucked out with my copy - I only paid $241 USD for it (May 2015) and received a perfect copy!
Infinity stop focus is precise, and it is razor-sharp at f2.8 through the entire frame.
I see the price has gone up quite a bit since then.

I picked mine up last year on black Friday for 250$ on Amazon, also a good copy. Maybe they upped their production quality?

I strongly suspect that! I think back when the 14mm was just released, lots of people had decentering issue. But you don't hear much about it from people who got it in the later years
