as far as I know, the warranty for Pentax DSLR is 1 year in the US
so unless you really " push " it
you wouldn't be near 100,000 before the warranty expires

truth be told, I am interested in the current B & H offer for the K 3 II + battery grip for a few dollars more than the K 3 II body by itself
however since the K 5 II ( my back up ) has actually a very low shutter count and the K 3 has more but not a tremendous number compared to the reported maximum, I think I am not " upgrading " any time soon
