Help on automatic shutter trigger to AF point - manual lens.

I heard this a few times, where people said it's possible to set the camera to fire on manual lens when you subject falls into focus, but I have not figured out how to link the shutter trigger to the little green AF assist lamp for manual focusing...

could someone in the know points out how to set this up?
