Official K10D photos!

Most of you probably already know but Pentax UK has realeased the first samples from a K10D Ver 1.00.
Here's the link: http://www.pentax.co.uk/_uk/photo/products/index.php?cameras&gruppe=digital%...9095&id=bilder

If the link doesn't work, try again later, i think their server is down right now.... it's already a popular camera

Here's one of the pictures I downloaded, I can only put one here because of the size:

Edit: I guess everyone saw the original by now, here's a smaller version.

Now Mike...

Hi Mike!

Now how come you didn't post the pumpkins or the old man???

I liked the one of the sheep as well. The one you posted is very remarkable. The detail that can be seen is awesome. I absolutely can't wait now. As soon as I saw the samples I called up the place I'd pre-ordered from and asked if they had an update on when they were expecting delivery. It's still late Oct, early Nov. Arrrggg!!!

Actually, I didn't even see the pumpkins one! But I'm very impressed with the details in the portraits... You're right, I love the old man too, his shirt is so sharp!
I can't wait either!

These first images look most promissing: everything is there! Colors, contrast and detail look very fine to me, and I can't notice any noise.

Looks swell!

The portret you posted Mike is awsome, and I love the bokeh from the new 70 ltd... (Hmmm, another one on my whishing list!)

The sheep, the shepherd, the portraits... I like them all.

Oh, and Mo could you replace the image in the mikerigel's post with a resized one maybe a crop (or perhaps both). Image size makes this post anoyinhly wide.

I just can't wait ... About the only unanswered question now is noise levels at higher ISO's. If Pentax has done well on that score it, I would venture to say that the K10D will re-define the Serious Ameture segment of the market.
It will sure make it hard for Canon and Nikon to justify the additional cost of their entries in this segment.

Go Pentax!!! Put the pressure on ...

cheers, Hawki

As opposed to others, they didn't add the ISO 3200 option, and I think that' s a "GoodThing" because they know the limits of the sensor and they'd probably rather not have the option at all than have it produce something that looks bad with horrible noise.

Perhaps they'll add it in a firmware update, when reviews are done. I think it's better poor iso3200 than none at all. One doesn't have to use it.
