Just ignoring the rest of the rest of the discussion, I'd go with the first response, and answer your question about not getting an 18-135. With the lenses you have, I doubt you see a lot of use of your 18-135. I find, for my purposes the 55-300 palm has pretty much replaced my 18-135 as my walk around, and the Sigma 17-50 is quite good. There's a chance your 18-135 might become a shelf lens. So practically, in your situation I'd go with the K-P.

It would be my opinion that it's really not worth getting into discussions of image quality between the two. That will be pretty much a waste of time. Whichever you get, you won't be looking over your shoulder, I'm still happy with the IQ from my K-3 without the accelerator unit. The improvements since then are gravy, not essential, unless you shoot everything in low light.

Personally, I shoot everything I can at 100 or 200 ISO so that's moot. At least to me, your mileage may differ.

Thanks you, Norm, I trust your advice a lot, I will go with the KP and you are right as other had said, I dont need the 18-135 because my other lenses cover that range. Leaving for 4 months to tour Western Canada and US, doing 12 National Park and some State Park, we will do a lot of nature hiking, kayak and having to carry less lenses will be better.
PS over Algonquin Park on my road to Sault-St Marie.

Sounds like an adventure, do you pick up hitch hikers? Wait I don't have a passport, cancel that thought.

Congrats. At that price the whole conversation becomes somewhat moot.

Damn it! I was on the road and missed the deal. I would have picked one up myself at that price!

Just my first comment the KP is big improvment versus the K-5 , I have before, finally dont miss the top screen, as this is easly replaced with the dajustable LCD back panel. and the 5 wheels.

Better ISO in low light is advantage too.
