- Pentax-branded camera body or bodies - new or used, digital or film
- K, M42, Q, 645 or adaptable-mount lens(es) - any brand, new or used
- Accessories of any type - remotes, lighting and modifiers, tripods, filters, adapters etc.

$5000 in M42 lenses, that would be quite a LBA bender. However given a shopping spree like that, I'd probably
take opportunity to purchase new gear that would otherwise not be of pressing need. Certainly the constrain that
it must be spent immediately puts some items before others, (as defined below).
All purchases new from BHPhoto. The rules allow for used gear, but honestly pricing is too subjective.
Going new is far easier, even if my prize dollar doesn't reach as far.
K-1 $1599 I have all intent to someday get a FF camera and enjoy the FOV I was accustomed to with 35mm.
Aside from that, I have no real pressing need for FF. My K-3 certainly provides all the resolution for the work
that I do. To that end, I think I would be happy with a K-1, rather than a K-1II
FA43 $520 This lens is high on my current want list. Normally I'd wait for a deeper discount, but no matter, it's
prize money.
DA21 $497 Also high on my current want list. Fits the hole I have between the DA15 and DA35.
FA31 $900 Much desired but otherwise not a current priority. As a freebie from prize money, it's a no brainer.
DA20-40 $697 Of all the zooms presently available, this is the only one that piques my interest. The FL range
is right there in my preferred zone and the Limited build is much appreciated.
Tripod $787+ Remainder from above. My current Induro is adequate for my K-3 but I wouldn't mind a beefier rig,
especially for the K-1.
Shortlisted items that didn't make the cut within budget:
KP $897 I really like the design of this camera but simply can not justify it as a need. Hoping the K-3II successor
incorporates much of the same design elements.
DFA*50 $1200 Very tempting. I'm sure I would be very proud to own this lens but would I really use it? It is after all
a big lens and I don't typically like big lenses, no matter the results.
645Z $5497 It puts me in the hole and I still have no lenses, but very tempting indeed.
Wish it were available:
K-3II successor - Would have easily found a place on the list, bumping the DA20-40 and FA31.
DFA 20/4 - My hopeful want for the roadmapped UWA. Easily replaces either the DA20-40 OR the FA31.
