What a problem, I have almost everything that I could want but $5000 just appears in my pocket. I do not have it, but if I did it would go toward: DFA 150-450, and a K-1 II with the 28-105 kit. If that does not top $5000 then I would add the DFA 50 f1.4

This is a hard one given that there is gear I want and would use but there are basically 2 nice splits that I could do that come out pretty close:
First group:
1. The SMC Pentax-A* 400mm F2.8 ED [IF]
2. The 1.4x and 2x teleconverters for it
3. A motorized equatorial mount to stick it all on

The second group:
1. A K-1 MKII
2. The 3 amigos

The problem is I don't know what group I would go for. I guess it depends on what time of year it is. If it is winter with the great astro viewing opportunity I have here then I would probably go with group 1. If it were summer it would be group 2.
This is a semi-annual offer.

I would sell my Sigma 12-24mm, 24-70 f/2.8 HSM, 70-200mm f/2.8 OS, 85mm f/1.4 and 180mm f/3.5 macro and replace them with the Pentax 15-30mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, FA* 85mm f/1.4 and FA* 200mm macro. I may have to spend a little extra but that's ok

AH, the Sigma 12-24, let me know when you sell that.
There must be someone here willing to cough up $5000 just to get their hands on one.

180 posts this month, and gets everyone else posting, and you might just win one - but we're behind schedule even for the K-1, as Mike says, so get to it

Starting from scratch: K1ii, 24-70/2.8, 70-200/2.8... and FA 43 + M20 or wider....

Given that i have the K1, 24-70, the 3 amigos and a bunch of others....
I'd spend on the 15-30, 70-200 and DFA* 50.

It would actually hurt to lose it even if I did get the 15-30mm as a replacement, it has it's own character.

So Mike, are you going to grade our choices at some point?
Well, now... 6 pages to review, and counting... I might pick some favourite highlights to close out the thread

But who am I to grade anyone's choices? I'm in love with a 10MP camera that was released in 2006, and a cheap Tamron zoom released even earlier

My favorite mix is my well loved 40+ year old Spotmatic F and the M42 mount 135mm F/2.3 Series 1 Vivitar lens. It is just film is expensive and digital has opened up a lot of other opportunities to play, practice, and experiment. The sad thing is I have 2 Spotmatic F bodies one I bought recently as a spare that is in basically unused condition but was CLAd anyway and I still prefer my first one that has all the dings, scratches, and wear.

Ditto, but I was focused on new gear. However, if a 200* macro presented itself, it would easily
oust anything else on my list.

AF540 FGZ II
DA 35mm Macro Limited
DA* 300mm
DA 16-85

If that happened to me (I know it never will though), I would be doing it simple.

K1mk2

24-70 2.8

70-200 2.8

And last, maybe the 70mm, 85mm, or 77mm.

That would make me a little bit happier.

A month?? It wouldn't last two days.

I'd get a 67II (there's a place I know where they still have new ones) with 105/2.4, a K-1 and whatever's left would be spent on nice glass, ideally FA limiteds starting with the 43mm.
