Time to play:

All the DA Limiteds, about $2,450, so I can take a bag of tiny primes on a walk.
The DF-A 150-450, about $2,500, to replace my Soligor 400mm f6.3 preset that is over 45 years old (but it was fun back in Hawai'i).

A genuine Pentax D-LI90 battery, to soak up most of the remainder.
A cup of coffee to get me going before my walk. (Nope, not taking the 150-450 on the walk.)

Not bothering to count any current discounts or used equipment, as I'm not pushing too hard here.

Already have most of LBA satisfied AT THIS MOMENT.

...I would use it on a 18mm Zeiss-Milvus- lens and have it converted to K-mount. For some reason having a Zeiss-lens in my collection is somewhat of a dream of mine

secondly I would probably pick the HD Pentax-D FA* 70-200mm F2.8 ED DC AW , as my beloved 60-250mm isn't FF out of the box...

and if there's still some money left I'd probably spend it on filters

645z body
A1200/8
HD DA560/5.6

- ALL OF THEM!

...ok, ok, I'd flip a coin to pick one.

I'd take my K-1 II and D FA 28-105 and go to Europe or Asia or South America or even North America!

Another shameless fun thread to help boost the post count for the raffle... If you're tired of them, feel free to ignore, but please consider posting

OK...

You're given USD $5,000 (approximately GBP £4,000, AUD $6,800, or equivalent in your local currency)... but you have to spend it within one month (or you lose it), on any or all of the following:

- Pentax-branded camera body or bodies - new or used, digital or film
- K, M42, Q, 645 or adaptable-mount lens(es) - any brand, new or used
- Accessories of any type - remotes, lighting and modifiers, tripods, filters, adapters etc.

The budget can be topped up with your own funds if it's insufficient. You can only choose equipment that is currently available in the new or used market (no waiting for planned or fictional yet-to-be-released products ).

Remember - you must spend it all in a month, or you lose it.... and only on the items listed (hardly a chore, right? )

How would you spend the money - and in the context of your existing kit, why?

Note: Apologies if the choice of forum for this post offends, but I couldn't think of a more suitable forum
I'd go for the DFA 15 -30, the DFA 80-200 and new DFA* 50 1.4. Then add a few extra $$ to get another K-1.

Because I already have a telescope at 1200mm f/8! It's a monster size refractor.

Although I started this thread for a bit of fun, I find it quite fascinating. Here we all are, a community of photographers with brand enthusiasm in common, but our equipment interests - medium, format, lens focal lengths and apertures - are so varied!

Thanks again for posting, folks. Most entertaining
