If it were an old SKU why would they pick Pentax and not some obscure manufacturer. I would think that a retailer would retire older SKUs and not use them to test with, it seems to me that they would have a series or SKU sequences to test with which would not relate so obviously to a current supplier of products to them. It doesn't make sense to do what they have done unless they were testing the SKU for a new Pentax camera, the gibberish about the FPS and sensor and price are just that, but I think there is something else going on.
Time will tell.
