Worst case scenario: it's all bogus.

Best case scenario: these are garbled representations of products to be announced at Photokina. The 50 MP camera and the $7,599 price tag suggests a 645zii, a very modest update to the current 645z. The other camera is an APS-C model. The $1,069.94 price point is entirely bogus, as no camera would have such an MSRP. So it's possible this is a flagship (in that case, $1,300+). What the heck is the 14-24 lens? Probably bogus, or a mis-statement of focal length (mis-statement of 11-16?). If there is a 14-24 lens coming, it would be a DFA wide angle zoom, probably an f4 optic, and would not likely be kitted with an APS-C DSLR.

Wow! I checked in to see the post progress and thought, "what the heck happened overnight?"......

Regardless, I hope this is true.....I can probably hold out a bit longer and maybe the KP will drop another $200. Would make my indecision go away for sure.

I believe some cameras have already been announced on week end.

Could it be the new GR, with a FF sensor, and an "fixed" 14-24mm lens ?
no. FF GR with 14-24 is unreal

So just had a really nice chat with the rep. The buyer is not in currently, so he can't get any more information. He is very apologetic for not knowing more. He has my name and number and hopes to be able to call me on Monday with more information.

Unlikely. Larger sensor and ultrawide zoom would be a break from the GR design philosophy. The camera would not fit in a pocket - look how large every 14mm FF lens is.

14-24 is not real IMO there is DFA15-30/2.8. no any sense to develop 14-24. and no such lens in roadmap.

This is 5 cents more than list price of KP.

When I asked them about it via chat, the answer was "No, there's really no info available on it yet."

No evidence they think it is a mistake.

And I'm sure after he hung up, he looked right at the buyer and said, "that'll keep those Pentax Forums folks talking for a few weeks!" :P

Many thought it had been hacked, but the reply basically ruled it out.

There'd be no reason to develop a DFA 14-24 f2.8, but there might be a reason for coming out with a DFA 14-24 f4. After all, Pentax is coming out with a 70-200 f4, despite the 70-200 f2.8; and Sony, Nikon, and Canon all have both f4 and f2.8 wide angle zooms.

I think all the data entered are nothing more than place holders, so no point speculating based on that.
Best case scenario, this is indication of a new product, (or two), is on the way. Worst case scenario is
a database entry error.

A new APS-C body and a new 645 would certainly be a delight. We only have a month to speculate.....
