The 150-450 is pretty great, I'm pretty happy with it for birds. Haven't used the competition, so not really sure how it compares.

Marvelous photos! Must be misrepresentations, however, because everyone "knows" Pentax is no good for birding!

I think we are okay as long as no one tells the birds!!!

This one was too young to know!

If only someone had warned me before I bought Pentax. I could have saved myself sooooo much disappointment!

LOL Yeah, we birders could have saved so much money. Who are these people who think Pentax can't take bird shots, anyway. Never heard that before. Glad I hadn't heard that one. Course I wouldn't have paid attention anyway.

My first bird in flight taken with a K100D. The Red-Tailed Hawk. And I have many more taken with my Pentax cameras, because that's mainly what i shoot, birds, big or small, it doesn't matter how big they are, their every one shot with a Pentax camera. So don't tell me you can't shoot birds with Pentax. The gentleman who's link is in the first post, has proved that beyond a doubt, and his excellent shots are amazing.

But don't sell the rest of short.

You have a camera, you use the camera. It may not be the best camera for what you do sometimes, but most of us don't want to buy the best camera for what we do for everything we do.

My wild birds file 79 images, one image per bird. A sort of lifer collection.

And if you really have some time.... 327 feeder creatures.

A camera really doesn't care what you use it for.
