How do you spell that P-E-N-T-A-X?

Oh yes just as the title implies , I enlightened a coworker about another brand of camera besides C & N today. True she is 20 something and just starting out in photography. And don't get me wrong I am not trying to convert her or anyone else. She asked me what camera I shot my screen saver on, that's how the conversation started. I told that I have been using manual focus lens from the film days and she was surprised. She said I have a "bag" of old lenses my Popa had and I was going to sell them. I showed her the adapter to buy for her camera and now I think we have a manual focus convert on our hands.

It was a lot of fun talking with her and she is very excited about this new "genre" of photography. A good day for photography.

Always good to chat with another photographer. Glad you could enlighten her about adapters for those family lenses too.

If she's just starting out, I wonder what she is using?

Probably got it with 1 or 2 kit lenses having VR. Decent little 16mp DSLR camera that sold at a decent price in Nikon's upper entry-level series, which is now the D5600. Not a Pentax K-S2 or K-70, but still an able DSLR.

It's what I bought for my sister when she wanted to go with a dSLR. Don't shame me. She clearly wanted something that she could buy lenses and other items locally for and there just isn't ANY source for Pentax around here. He likes to handle things before she buys them and is very uncomfortable buying off the internet unless its the 2nd copy of something she has already had experience with. Nice little camera, but I still like my K5IIs and K100D better
