Metz Mecablitz 50 AF-1 compatible with Pentax K-70?

Just last night I got this out of the cupboard and tried to use it with my K-70, I upgraded from K-30.

Now the flash fires, I never really used it much but I think I remember the flash would zoom to the focal length of the lens on the K-30. I'm not sure if P-TTL is working properly, I looked up the latest firmware which says support for K-1 but the K-70 came after.

If not supported I suppose I'll sell it, it has barely been used.

Should work with the K-70 without updating the firmware. The flash has motor zoom and P-TTL. Just try it.

Thanks Papa, I updated the firmware to v1.5 (for K1) and now it works brilliantly, they don't state it works on the K-70.

One drawback is they removed the wireless trigger from the K-70 so I got the K-30 out again for some flash fun and it is fantastic. I plan to sell the K-30 but what a good feature the wireless controller is.
