They tried that once on the back of a Pentax and it did not go down well.

At one time, cameras imported into the US by Honeywell said "Honeywell Pentax" on the front - while those sold to the rest of the world said "Asahi Pentax"; "Ricoh Pentax" fits into that pattern.

A left handed APSC body with the word PENTAX emblazoned backwards on the pentaprism for photographer self-portraits. As a bonus when people see you photographing them you would look like a mirror image and they’d turn around.
