Converted another (or two) to Pentax

Last weekend i was out with a couple other photographers and it was a decent couple days. I had my KP, one had their Fujifilm X-T2 and other had a Sony A6000. Getting to the point we exchanged cameras throughout the weekend and got in a few hundred keepers in all. On Wednesday the A6000 person came by to show me their new camera and you can imagine i was expecting a new New X-T30, or X-T3, or an A6400 but no it was a KP with the 16-85mm HD. The X-T2 person is still on the fence due to the number of fujifilm lenses they have but they are slowly inching towards a new KP from the sounds of it.

Despite the infamous Pentax AF the KP AF did lock on better than the other two cameras when conditions were not so perfect. They also couldn't not get over the better over all IQ from the KP. They also didn't know about the Pentax 5-axis ibis that doesn't need any lens syncing even for old m42 mount lenses. The KP isn't large for a dslr either.

I'm not pride full but this did make me feel good and still having a bit of trouble accepting it considering the amount of hate Pentax gets and how jaded it makes you.

Thinking about KP myself. Just hope that sooner or later Pentax will come up with KP-like + GPS model.

Trading cameras probably really made you appreciate the KP.

Considering that their A6000 was originally mine. Yeah you could say that.

I spent last weekend at a wildlife refuge; most of the time I had 55-300 PLM + 14X TC on my camera, using TAv mode with shutter speed = 1/1000 and aperture f/9.5. It focused on everything I could get in my viewfinder, and I never gulped at the ISO setting because that camera has proven itself at high ISO values. Every time I use the KP, I'm glad I purchased it, and I feel bad for those who are determined to look down on Pentax.
