Wow! A great deal on a great camera. Enjoy it, it's amazing how that camera can perform.

Congrat's and welcome.

congratulations on your purchase, and welcome! the nice thing about Pentax is that you can find old, used, but still 1005 compatible gear and get it for next to nothing...

I got myself a film camera, a SMC-A 50 mm f1,4, and a flash (plus some filters) for 10$...

You've got some great lenses in there, you should enjoy them. Is the vivitar a Series 1? If so, you robbed someone :P

Last October, I bought a used DS. I liked it so much that in February, I bought a K10D (sold the DS to get it). Still liking my K10D, I bought a K200D to complement it in late September. In time, I will be buying a K20D (or maybe 30, if I can hold on that long) as an upgrade to the K10D.

In the meantime, I've bought and sold a whole slew of glass--the keepers are in my sig.

Can't you tell that I like my Pentax gear?

At any rate, welcome! We're glad you've joined our merry band of happy (at least most of us) Pentax shooters.

Welcome to the forum. It's a very good deal consider a decent prosumer P&S can easily cost more than that.

Ha. My brother who went from C to N figures if a lens costs less than $1,000 it is crap. Of course, I am smarter than him - that's why I have a K20D.

Welcome aboard OP!
Holy, sub $1000 lens are crap? sheese if really did pick the big 2 then I will be stuck with a pinhole lens made from the body cap for a few years
